    Aggreko has supplied emergency power to Alinta Energy following a storm where over 1,000 lightning strikes were recorded in one night, causing major power outages to households and businesses.

    Within a few days of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Aggreko entered into discussions with TEPCO to bring additional power to the grid. Aggreko was awarded a contract for the rental of 200 MW of emergency power. The contract is for 100 MW of gas-fired and 100 MW of diesel-fired generation.
